An armed robbery Friday at the Bullfrog Motel ended in an apprehension unlike any other Jamestown Police Chief Harry L. Snellings has seen before in the city.

On December 18, police report responding to an armed robbery report at the Bullfrog Motel, 1414 E. Second St., after an individual allegedly stole tenants' property while armed with a pistol and knife. Police searched the building but found the suspect had fled.

Soon after, they received a report from an off-duty Jamestown police officer that someone tried to enter his personal vehicle, which he was warming up nearby.
