JAMESTOWN – Thursday, Dec. 30, is the last day for families to register with the Joint Neighborhood Project to receive gifts at the Three Kings Festival to be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at First Covenant/Nueva Vida Covenant Church, 520 Spring St., Jamestown.

The celebration will begin with activities for children and families from 6 to 6:35 p.m., followed by a church service from 6:40 to 7 p.m. Gifting with the Kings and refreshments are scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m.

Participants of the Live and Learn English class will also host an event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, for children to meet the Kings and have their picture taken with them at the Joint Neighborhood Project, 532 E. Second St., Jamestown.

Staff members from the Joint Neighborhood Project will register families to receive gifts and sign families in on the evening of the Three Kings celebration. 

Zion Covenant Church is also working with First Covenant, Nueva Vida Covenant, Joint Neighborhood Project and the Eastside YMCA on plans for the event.

Chautauqua Tapestry and Prendergast Library will provide activities such as face painting, crafts and games.

The Three Kings Festival honors the Wise Men who brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the Baby Jesus.
