Infinity Arts Café- Kaleidoscope Night

Students from the Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will be showcasing their talents at a Kaleidoscope performance on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 7pm-8:30pm at the Infinity Arts Café.

Kaleidoscope nights are an ever-changing but interesting mix, featuring a wide variety of performers, such as; Infinity music, poetry, dance, or theater students, Infinity instructors, or invited guests from the community! The show is always different!

This event is free, family friendly, and open to the public. The Infinity Arts Café performance entrance is located at 300 East 3rd Street. Look for the neon guitar!

Pulse Poetry Slam {Open Mic Night}

Call all poets and poetry lovers!!! The Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will be hosting, “Pulse Poetry Slam Open Mic Night” on Thursday, August 3 at 6:00pm at the Infinity Arts Café. Poets and audience-members are welcome.

Pulse Poetry Slam events are free, family friendly, and open to the public. Performance poetry is an excellent way to express creativity while practicing performance and public speaking.

The Infinity Arts Café performance entrance is located at 300 East 3rd Street in downtown Jamestown! Look for the blue neon guitar!

Vendors Lining Up for First Annual Collectors’ Expo Event at Buffalo Irish Center

Sports memorabilia, original artwork and handcrafted items, coins, music memorabilia, comic books, antiques, local products, political memorabilia, movie and theatre memorabilia, photography, and car and train collectibles are just some of the items that will be represented at the first annual Collectors’ Expo. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, in the historic Buffalo Irish Center, 245 Abbott Road, South Buffalo.

Admission at the door will be just $2 per person. Food will also be available for purchase during the event thanks to the Irish Center kitchen staff. Additionally, 100 percent of the door proceeds will be donated to three South Buffalo organizations, including the Buffalo Irish Center, South Buffalo Alive and Dog Ears Bookstore & Café!

Instructors from the Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will be showcasing their talents at the Infinity Arts Café on Friday, July 21 at 7pm.

This is an excellent chance to meet Infinity’s instructors and enjoy their creative talents!  Student performers will also be joining their instructors on stage!

This event is free, family friendly, and open to the public.

Infinity Center Holds New Student Orientation Session

Infinity Center Holds New Student Orientation Session

Music, art, dance, and theater students of all levels are welcome to enroll in private and group lessons! The Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center will hold a new student orientation and intake session on Thursday, July 20.  

Please contact the Infinity Center at 716-664-0991 to register for a session and reserve your spot today.  Students may also register online at www.infinityperformingarts.org to be contacted for an orientation slot. Orientation sessions last approximately 30 minutes, including a tour of the Infinity Center and opportunities to meet Infinity staff members and schedule lessons.  

The Infinity Center is located at 301 East 2nd Street, Suite 101 in the Lynn Building.

Local Schools to Host World’s Top Drum Corps for Drums Along the Waterfront event

Eight local schools will host the top drum corps in the world when they converge on Orchard Park for the annual Drums Along the Waterfront Tour of Champions event taking place on Aug. 6 at New Era Field.

“The visiting drum corps will spend one night at each of the host schools, where these musical athletes will eat, sleep and practice,” said Drums Along the Waterfront Director Jack Gaylord Jr. “We thank the schools and the entire community for being so welcoming year after year. We could not pull off an event of this magnitude without their cooperation.”

Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery Announces a Variety of Creative Events

West Seneca’s Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Road, has announced a wide variety of creative events taking place in the coming days, weeks and months.

A members’ exhibit, “Influence of the 20th Century Masters,” continues to run through Friday, July 28. Guests are invited to view the work of the artists and guess who influenced their careers. 

August’s exhibit, “Life’s A Beach,” will be introduced with a free opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4. Artwork is still being accepted for this exhibit, and details can be found on the gallery’s website.
