The Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet, Community Music Project, 1891 Fredonia Opera House, Infinity Visual & Performing Arts, Jamestown Concert Association, Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown, Reg Lenna Civic Center, and the Western New York Chamber Orchestra are the member organizations of the United Arts Appeal.

How to Make Your Car Last Forever: Auto Q&A with Tom Torbjornsen

Dear Tom,

I own a ’95 Olds Auroa V8. The injectors are leaking gas and flooding the cylinders, and they seem to be stuck open. What would cause this? What’s the best course of action? As soon as the key is on, it pumps out gas. Thanks for your help.

Lake Country Premium Natural Beef Available Year-round From Hanova Hills Farm

Lake Country Premium Natural Beef Available Year-round From Hanova Hills Farm

Not long ago, small family farms dotted the countryside creating the patchwork of farm and forest that typifies Upstate New York. Small-scale farming was good for the environment and the meat products were healthy, robust in flavor and tender to the fork. At Hanova Hills Farm — a regular vendor at the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market — they still follow this pattern. Their artisan beef is pasture-raised and finished without growth hormones or antibiotics, hand-processed in a local plant, then aged to concentrate flavor and ensure tenderness.

Dear Tom,

My 2004 Olds Bravada smells hot … really hot. I keep putting in more antifreeze and it seems to disappear (I don't see any wet spots under the vehicle). The overflow keeps emptying, as well as the radiator. Please help!

Congressman Higgins’ Response to the State of the Union Address

Congressman Higgins’ Response to the State of the Union Address

“In today’s 2011 State of the Union Address President Obama outlined the United States’ game plan toward winning the future, and first up is job creation and economic growth.  Americans are justifiably impatient and we need to fuel that urgency with opportunities for success for our businesses, for our innovators and for our children.

“America can compete against any nation in the world when given the tools to do so. We should start by preparing our children for greatness with an unmatched quality education and preparing our businesses for prosperity by leveling the playing field impacted by China’s unfair economic policies and extending the Research and Development tax credits that feed the entrepreneurial hunger to develop cutting edge breakthroughs.
