Jamestown, NY – Under clear blue skies, a record number of almost 150 runners and walkers enjoyed the Audubon Nature Center trails on Saturday, July 25, for the second annual Wild 5K Run/Walk. 

Crin Fredrickson, co-chair of the event, expressed her appreciation to all who participated and the wonderful crew of volunteers for making the event such a success.

Proceeds from the race will support the Nature Center’s continuing work to protect its more than 600 acres of unique habitat that decreases flooding in the surrounding communities, purifies drinking water, and provides sanctuary to plants and animals of all shapes and sizes.

Prizes were awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers in the run category. Awards were given to the top three finishers in each age group division for both runners and walkers, a total of 10 divisions. Age groups for Runners were 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Age groups for Walkers were 25 and under; 26-55, and 56+.

The top female runners were: Brooke Adams, 19:00:00; Marissa Cancilla, 21:28:00; and Judy Porpiglia, 22:53:00.

The top male runners were:  Blake Ristau, 18:41:00; Andy McMaster, 19:29:00; and Jim Roberts, 19:54:00.
