Jamestown, NY – With hundreds of runners and walkers converging on Saturday, July 30, the Audubon Nature Center needs dozens of volunteers for their annual Wild 5K Run/Walk.

By teaming up with Trackqua to speed up the registration process and provide chip-timed results, planners are expecting even greater participation this year.

The 8-8:45 a.m. registration and 9 a.m. start time mean volunteers will be required as early as 7:30 a.m. to help with parking through to after-race clean-up in the early afternoon.

Folks will be needed to staff the water station and serve as trail cheerleaders/direction pointers from before the start to the end of the race. Other assignments include staffing the registration, refreshment and award tables, and helping at the finish line.

The Wild 5K is open to runners and walkers of all ages and will raise money to support the on-going efforts to protect the Nature Center’s more than 600 acres of unique habitat.
