Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants across the U.S., including the location on 340 East Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood, are giving a heartfelt “thanks” to veterans and those on active duty on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11.

On Veterans Day only, veterans and those on active duty with proof of United States military service can choose one free entrée from Applebee’s Veterans Day Menu:

Law Enforcement to Serve Patrons Not Tickets at Jamestown Applebee’s

Local law enforcement officials will be on-hand at the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurant in Lakewood, NY from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.on Thursday, September 29, but they won’t be enforcing laws or serving up tickets.  Instead, the officers will be serving Applebee’s customers all to raise funds for Special Olympics athletes in New York State. More than 40 Applebee’s locations across the state will participate in Law and Orders night.

Officers will join forces with employees of the Lakewood Applebee’s located at 340 East Fairmount Avenue, and assist servers and hosts by performing their various tasks. In return, Applebee’s customers will have the option to tip the officers, directly benefitting the more than 51,000 Special Olympics athletes in New York State.

Back-to-School=Fall Fundraising at Lakewood Applebee’s Restaurant

It’s the first weeks of school and that means students, youth sports teams and organizations are looking to raise money for everything from new uniforms and equipment to class trips.

From flapjack fundraisers to dining-to-donate events, local groups can earn cash for their respective organizations with fun, community-based fundraisers at any one of Applebee’s participating restaurants, including the Lakewood, NY location.

In 2010 alone, T.L. Cannon Companies, the franchisee for 61 Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants across upstate New York and Connecticut, helped groups raise more than $2.41 million. Locally, Applebee’s restaurants across Western New York raised more than $356,000.
