Sports Memorabilia Show to Feature Appearances by Marv Levy, Floyd Smith

 

Western New York's largest sports card and memorabilia show, featuring more than 100 tables of merchandise and guest appearances by former Buffalo Bills Head Coach Marv Levy and former Buffalo Sabres Head Coach Floyd Smith, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13, in the Marriott Hotel, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst.

Smith, who also served as the Sabres first team captain, will sign autographs for fans from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., while Levy will sign from noon to 2 p.m. Autographs are $8 per item for Smith and $30 per item for Levy.

Buffalo Bills legendary wide receiver Andre Reed, recently voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2014, will hold his first post-Hall of Fame vote autograph signing event from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Bases Loaded Sports Collectibles, 794 French Road, Cheektowaga.

Reed will enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame along with Michael Strahan, Derrick Brooks, Walter Jones, Aeneas Williams, Ray Guy and Claude Humphrey. The enshrinement ceremony will take place on Saturday, Aug. 2.

Former NASCAR driver Richard Childress, owner of Richard Childress Racing, will join an impressive lineup of athletes slated to appear at the Buffalo Auto Show, taking place Feb. 6-9 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.

Childress will sign autographs for Auto Show visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7. He joins a lineup of previously announced guests including Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson, Buffalo Braves basketball great Ernie DiGregorio and the legendary Buffalo Bills “Electric Company.”

As one of America’s most anticipated and celebrated sporting events, the Super Bowl brings together families, friends and fans each year to enjoy the excitement of the big game. In many instances, fans will gather to watch the game at sports bars, restaurants or Super Bowl-themed parties. The Resource Training Center in Amherst, provider of the Drinking Driver Program, wants to spread an important safety message about designating a sober driver on Super Bowl Sunday.

Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson, Buffalo Braves basketball great Ernie DiGregorio and the legendary Buffalo Bills “Electric Company” have been added to an impressive lineup of new and futuristic vehicles that will be on display at the 2014 Buffalo Auto Show, coming to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center Feb. 6-9.

Sports Card Expo to Feature Baseball, Football Greats

 

A one-day Sports Card Expo featuring several former NFL and MLB greats will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Clarion Hotel, 8250 Park Road, Batavia.

Taking part in the event will be former Buffalo Bills Don Beebe, Scott Norwood and Lou Piccone, along with former Dallas Cowboys greats Danny White and Bill Bates. Former New York Mets and Yankees stars Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry, along with former Baltimore Orioles manager Joe Altobelli, will also take part in the event. Autograph sessions will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
